N.A.A. Open Days, bringing Europe’s best to Ireland’s doorstep
The fourth annual N.A.A. Open Day highlights Ireland’s thriving kitchen and joinery sector.
Now in its fourth year, the N.A.A. Open Day has grown into what is arguably Ireland’s largest event of its kind for the kitchen and joinery industry. Taking place in June, the event began in 2022, inspired by the travel restrictions that kept many customers from attending European trade fairs such as SICAM, KBB, interzum and LIGNA.
Each year, the event has expanded in scale and ambition. Last year’s Open Day welcomed over 100 customers and more than 15 leading European suppliers, including Hettich, H.B. Fuller, VIBO, Rubio, Lamello, JURA, Mustad and FCS Paint. The result was a genuine “trade fair at your doorstep” experience, a day that blends education, networking and innovation.
Highlights included the unveiling of new products such as Hettich’s AvanTech YOU drawer system and the much-anticipated FurnSpin, which captured the imagination for its design flexibility and engineering precision. The event continues to strengthen the relationship between N.A.A., its suppliers and its customers, providing a uniquely Irish platform for innovation, collaboration and inspiration.
This year's Open Day will take place on June 12th and will be bigger and better, and it will coincide with the Hettich Sprinter Tour 2026 from June 10th to July 10th, where N.A.A.'s mobile showroom will travel the country. In addition, N.A.A. have launched another new product – Pocket Doors –now in stock, contact for further information.
Factory visits – building trust through first-hand experience
Every year, N.A.A. organises a series of factory visits for selected customers, offering an exclusive look behind the scenes of its key European manufacturing partners, including Hettich, VIBO, Liebherr, JURA, H.B. Fuller and others.
These visits are designed not only for technical training and product familiarisation but also for relationship building and inspiration. Around 20 customers participate annually, travelling to see the scale, precision and quality that underpin these premium European brands.
For many, seeing the innovation and infrastructure first-hand reinforces their trust in N.A.A.’s supply chain and commitment to excellence, especially in a market increasingly crowded with lower-quality imports. The trips help customers understand that N.A.A. doesn’t just sell products; it connects them to world-class manufacturing expertise, ensuring reliability, quality and long-term value.
Investing in the future – supporting education and innovation
N.A.A. is committed to nurturing the next generation of woodworkers, furniture designers and manufacturing technicians. As part of this commitment, the company partners with Atlantic Technological University (Letterfrack) and Technological University Dublin, running two dedicated workshops per year in each institution.
These sessions are hands-on and industry-focused, covering the latest innovations in fittings, adhesives, finishes and assembly systems. Students gain direct exposure to the tools, materials and design solutions that define today’s professional standards.
Feedback from both universities has been outstanding, with lecturers noting improved student engagement and practical understanding of industry trends. The initiative also strengthens N.A.A.’s long-term links with Ireland’s future design and manufacturing talent.
Responding to customer demand – launching Mustad in Ireland
When customers asked for a high-quality screw manufacturer that matched N.A.A.’s standards for performance and reliability, the team listened. Within 12 months, N.A.A. introduced Mustad, the Italian screw manufacturer, to the Irish market.
The launch has been an unqualified success, driven entirely by customer feedback and demand from the kitchen and furniture manufacturing sectors. Since its introduction, Mustad has become N.A.A.’s fastest-growing supplier by percentage, achieving 100% repeat business and exceptional customer satisfaction.
It’s a prime example of N.A.A.’s customer-first approach: listening to what the market needs, sourcing from the best manufacturers in Europe, and delivering complete, dependable solutions, from hinges and drawers to paint, glue and oil, all under one roof.
With its evolving Open Day, factory visits, educational partnerships and customer-led product launches, N.A.A. continues to strengthen Ireland’s kitchen, furniture and joinery sectors. By connecting customers with leading European innovation and investing in future talent, the company is helping shape a stronger, more forward-thinking industry.
