Forde’s Courtyard x Clohane Wood Products
Clohane Wood Products delivers full turnkey renovation at Limerick’s Forde’s Courtyard.
Recently completed in the heart of Limerick city, Forde’s Courtyard went far beyond the joinery and fit-out packages we’re normally known for. It was a full renovation involving design, build, and project management, all handled by Clohane Wood Products in-house team.
The project was been shortlisted for Fit Out Project of the Year – Hospitality over €500k at the 2025 Fit Out Awards
The existing structure came with all the challenges of an old stone building: water ingress, a leaking roof, and significant repair work before the fit-out could even begin. The internal layout was reworked completely, opening the space and improving the flow to make sure the building worked for this next chapter of its life.
Once the structure was sound, Clohane Wood Products (CWP) layered in the details with reclaimed timber, textured plaster, brass, and warm leather finishes sitting naturally beside the restored stone. The joinery was a major focus throughout, from bespoke booth dividers and the bar counter to reclaimed wall cladding, all crafted in West Cork. Lighting was kept simple and adaptable, designed to work with the materials and atmosphere of the space.
Delivering the full turnkey package meant CWP could manage every stage from early design decisions through to manufacture and installation, keeping quality and detail consistent throughout. Both CWP and the client were genuinely delighted with how this one came together, both in finish and atmosphere.
