In addition to its durability, EGGER laminate is moisture-resistant, non-porous and antibacterial. Certified under ISO 22196, it achieves the highest level of reduction of common bacteria over a 24-hour period. This makes it particularly suitable for healthcare and hospitality environments, where hygiene is paramount.

While laminate is ideal for surfaces that experience heavy wear, not every application requires this level of resilience. For mid to low traffic areas, such as wall panels, table bases or furniture end panels, EGGER’s decorative boards offer a practical alternative. These wood-based panels are supplied in standard thicknesses and feature a chipboard or MDF core faced with decorative paper on both sides. They have matching decors and share many of laminate’s benefits, including resistance to abrasion, moisture and bacteria, but are ready to cut and edge without additional processing.
