Despite exceptionally high June temperatures, more than 400 attendees joined the celebrations, reflecting the strength of Häfele Ireland’s customer community, supplier partnerships and shared commitment to the industry.

The event was a resounding success, with the enthusiasm and support of attendees creating a memorable atmosphere throughout the day. Among those in attendance were customers who have partnered with Häfele Ireland since its earliest days, a testament to the loyalty and trust the company has built over four decades of service.

A highlight of the event was the appearance of special guest Dermot Bannon, architect and television personality, who shared personal insights into his long-standing relationship with Häfele Ireland. His reflections on working with Häfele products over the years were both engaging and entertaining, while his description of the Häfele catalogue as one of the most frequently used resources in his office reinforced its enduring value to architects, designers and industry professionals.

The anniversary celebrations also provided an opportunity to recognise the individuals who laid the foundations of the business. A particularly special moment was the reunion of Häfele Ireland’s original leadership team: Brendan Smith, the company’s first Managing Director; Mike Smith, founding Managing Director of Häfele UK; and Hans Nock, former CEO of Häfele Worldwide. Their presence served as a fitting tribute to the vision and commitment that have shaped the business since its establishment in 1986.

The event was further enhanced by the participation of 27 supplier partners, whose product displays, innovations and technical expertise generated valuable discussions throughout the day. Their involvement highlighted the strength of Häfele Ireland’s long-standing partnerships and the collaborative approach that continues to underpin the company’s success.

Guests also enjoyed exceptional hospitality throughout the day, with catering and bar teams ensuring attendees remained well looked after despite the warm conditions.

Reflecting on the occasion, the Trade Day celebrated not only Häfele Ireland’s 40-year journey but also the enduring relationships that have been central to its success. The company extends its sincere thanks to everyone who attended, exhibited and supported the event, and looks forward to welcoming customers and partners once again at its next Trade Day in 2028.
